The site board soberly describes the endeavour as new construction and extension of the production facility with storage area and staff facilities. The new FRITSCH production facility in the Langefelder Straße was just dedicated in 2008 and now already an additional production facility is being built on the same site. The endeavour will be supported by the program Progress through innovation by the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Construction will begin in March of this year.
The 1200 m2 large ground floor of the new hall is intended for assembly work stations, preferably for the larger instruments, which need a crane to handle the large and heavy parts. The second floor will be furnished with a 400 m2 large production area for small instruments. Also a 400 m2 large storage area is planned. New machines will be of course purchased for the new facility like for example more effective coating machines. Additionally two heavy-duty elevators and two unloading terminals will ensure even smoother working processes in the future.
Booth sites, the one in the Langenfelder Straße and the one in the Industriestraße will be connected with a pipe system which transports smaller parts weighing up to 8 kg and in the same building measure fibre optics cable will be installed.
The endeavour should be finished in March 2014. After the completion of the move of the parts storage and the production facility from the Industriestraße into the Langefelder Straße, the actual manufacturing of FRITSCH laboratory instruments will start in July 2014 in the new production facility.
