The Fritsch GmbH was on the schedule this time for the regional work group School and Economy Kirn/ Idar-Oberstein. Regularly the working group and both of its spokesmen Rolf Schneider (Wayand AG) and Thomas Bursian (Vocational School Kirn) tour factories or invite high calibre lecturers to speak on current topics. The linking-up between educational institution and commercial enterprises is a declared goal of these activities. Teachers from general educational vocational schools, as well as representatives of regional businesses participated in the FRITSCH tour.
Astounding sights into the approximately 100 year old business history were given to the participants. The family company always demonstrated a pioneer spirit and mastered new challenges. In the beginning FRITSCH supplied druggists with relatively simple products for example semi-precious stone mortars. During the Fifties, the company made the decisive innovative leap: highly complex mills for laboratories were produced for the first time in Idar-Oberstein and continuously advanced. The success story was continued in the following decades.
Today the FRITSCH GmbH is an established company in the global market for specialized laboratory equipment for sample preparation and particle sizing. Managing director Robert Fritsch considers the company a hidden champion along the Nahe River: “Our products do not only feature a recognized high standard of quality, but also receive design awards, explains Fritsch.”
Today 80 % of all revenue is obtained in 100 countries. Healthy to the core, even the global crisis of 2008/2009 was mastered without cutting back working hours explained the son of Robert Fritsch, Sebastian.
The first subsidiary was established in Moscow and 2012 an additional one in Peking. Sebastian Fritsch considers the company a big family.
The identification with the company is a great competitive advantage. Indeed, the participants were able to see this: Squeaky clean production facilities, generous offices with many plants and pleasant staff facilities. With an additional production facility another major project will be successfully completed. Here clear advantages will be obtained for in-house logistics and communication.
By the way FRITSCH trains: mechatronic engineers, industrial mechanic and industrial clerks. The chances to get hired after the vocational training are very good. FRITSCH also offers university students possibilities for writing bachelor and master’s thesis.
